Rowlett police arrested a 27-year-old man who they say shot two acquaintances who forced their way into his home earlier this month.
Sharod J. Williams is facing two felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and is being held in lieu of $250,000 bond.
Police say on Sunday, Dec. 16, a man and a woman kicked in the front door of a house in the 9300 block of Shearer Street.
Witnesses heard arguing inside, and a few minutes later, couple who had forced their way into the home calmly walked outside as if to leave.
The witnesses said then a man came out with a gun and fired at least five shots, striking both the man and the woman.
Police say the gunman and another friend inside ran away. Williams, the accused gunman, was arrested Thursday, but officers are still looking for his friend, 27-year-old Lance Michael Williams.
