Temperatures were finally able to climb above freezing this afternoon as much of the region was in the 40s. With a cloudy sky and southerly winds tonight, we'll stay above freezing here in the Metroplex. As the lower levels of the atmosphere 'moisten up', we'll see drizzle develop across the area after 9pm this evening. Off to our northwest, near Decatur and Wichita Falls, there could be some freezing drizzle early Friday morning. With the drizzle, I expect patchy fog also. Temperatures will not be that warm tomorrow as a cold front moves through the area. It won't be terribly cold here, but highs will only be in the 40s with readings dropping into the 30s by late afternoon. The long range forecast still shows a good chance for rain on New Year's Eve and possibly early New Year's Day. Stay tuned.
