HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police have charged a 44-year-old man with capital murder after his girlfriend and her daughter were found fatally shot on Christmas Eve.
Curtis James Adams has been charged with the deaths of Latasha Jones and her 13-year-old daughter.
Investigators believe Adams shot Jones and her daughter, then left with his 7-year-old son. Police say the boy saw 1 of the shootings. Police say Adams went to a family member's home, where he said things that eventually led relatives to go to Jones' home.
Adams was arrested by Missouri City police after allegedly threatening a family member with a pistol.
He remains held in Fort Bend County jail on aggravated assault and firearm possession charges. An attorney has not been appointed to represent him.
