1 dead, 1 hurt in shooting

One man is dead after a double shooting in Garland overnight.

Police were first alerted to the shooting around 1:30am Saturday.

Two men pulled up to a restaurant near the intersection of Jupiter and Garland road in the White Rock Lake area of Dallas.

They asked for help - both had been shot.

Police determined the shooting occurred several miles away in Garland.

One victim died from his injuries a short time after arriving at a hospital.

The other is in stable condition at Parkland hospital.

Police are trying to gather more information about suspects, but have made no arrests in the case.
