DALLAS -
A Dallas Police lieutenant became a crime victim while visiting her husband's grave Sunday afternoon.
Lt. Regina Smith was at Restland Cemetery laying flowers on Sr. Cpl. Norm Smith's grave when someone broke into her Cadillac. According to the police report, her Burberry Purse, wallet, Louis Vuitton cosmetic bag, Ipad, Iphone, $170 in cash and her police wallet & ID were taken valued at $3300.
The report is not clear on how the suspect broke into the 2010 Cadillac. It just says she heard a car door close and saw the suspect driving away.
Lt. Regina Smith is suspended after the department started investigating a video she posted online.
In it, she is "dry firing" her service weapon and criticizing the departments handling of her husband's case. Sr. Cpl. Norm Smith died in 2009 while executing a warrant in Dallas.
