Police: Early morning party ends with 1 injured

GLENDALE, Ariz. -

Police say a little after 4 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a call about a shooting at a home near 63rd Avenue and Maryland.

When officers arrived at the scene, their investigation revealed a party had occurred at the home.

Officers found an adult Hispanic male inside the residence who had been wounded by gunfire. The 21-year-old victim was transported to an hospital with life threatening injuries.  He remains in critical condition.

Officer Tracey J. Breeden of the Glendale Police Department says an unknown suspect, believed to be at the party, fired several rounds in the direction of the home after leaving the party.

No one else at the home was struck by the rounds.

Breeden says the suspect fled the scene prior to the officers' arrival.

No suspects have been identified and a motive for the shooting is unknown, but it appears there may have been a verbal altercation that occurred during the party.

This is a developing story.  Stay with FOX 10 News for updates.
