ARLINGTON, Texas -
A young woman died in an early morning crash on New Year's Day. Police are now trying to determine if alcohol was a factor.
Arlington police said the accident happened at about 3 a.m. at the intersection of Park Springs Boulevard and Shady Valley Drive.
A female driver lost control of her vehicle and hit a pole on the side of the road. She was not wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
The Tarrant County medical examiner identified the victim as 21-year-old Sara Habala of Arlington.
Investigators are still trying to determine if alcohol and speed contributed to the crash.
