A stubborn upper level trough will continue to give North Texas cloudy skies and very cool temperatures. Afternoon highs are expected to remain in the 40s through Friday. For the most part, no precipitation is expected, but I can't rule out that there could be some light drizzle at times through the end of the week. As the trough moves east by the end of the week, southwesterly winds will return with mostly sunny skies by the weekend. Temperatures will finally start to warm up by Saturday and Sunday, and it looks like we may be in the lower 60s by the beginning of the work week, next week. Happy New Year everyone!
