Police in Flower Mound are trying to figure out who shot a man as he sat in his car parked at a small strip center.
Lamont White, 54, of Justin died overnight.
About 11 p.m. Tuesday night, officers responded to a call of shots fired on Flower Mound Road at Garden Ridge Boulevard.
They found the victim slumped over inside his white Mazda, suffering from at least two gunshots.
White was taken by Careflite helicopter to Methodist Hospital in grave condition.
Police on the scene say it appears the man was targeted by someone who pulled up next to him, fired the shots, and drove off.
At this point, detectives are still looking for a motive.
This is the first murder in Flower Mound in about three years.
