A 32-year-old Fort Worth police officer was arrested early Wednesday morning on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
Nicolas Ramirez failed a field sobriety test when he was pulled over just before 1 a.m. in Keller.
According to officers in that city, Ramirez was spotted weaving out of his lane in his 2001 Ford Explorer. A police officer followed him a short distance, then pulled him over in the 1700 block of Highway 114.
The Keller officer detected a strong odor of alcohol, and asked Ramirez to perform a breathalyzer test. The police report says Ramirez blew a 0.188 -- more than twice the legal limit of .08.
Ramirez was booked, photographed and fingerprinted, and is now free on bond.
