Sweetwater Creek State Park offers look at Civil War

Posted: Updated:
LITHIA SPRINGS, Ga. -

It was once the tallest building in north Georgia. The five story building that belonged to the New Manchester Manufacturing Company was vital to the area during the 1800s, and during the Civil War. All that remains of the building today is a shell.

The building is but one of many things you can see and do at the Sweetwater Creek State Park in Lithia Springs. The park is offering activities for the entire family in January, and it's where we find Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken!

For a list of events and information on the park, visit Sweetwater Creek State Park, located at
1750 Mt. Vernon Road in Lithia Springs.
