Dallas police have arrested a man who they say beat a local attorney so severely he ended up in a medically-induced coma.
Twenty-eight year old David Anderson of Dallas was booked into the Lew Sterrett Justice Center just before 1 a.m. Friday morning.
He faces a charge of aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, and has a bond set at $25,000.
Police believe Anderson is the one who savagely attacked 39-year-old Damien Falgoust as he was returning home from a Lower Greenville bar on Dec. 12.
According to an arrest report, the attack was retaliation. Falgoust had a dispute with one of Anderson's friends a few months ago and that friend ended up in jail.
The victim remains hospitalized. Family members said it is still not clear if he will have permanent brain damage.
