ARLINGTON, Texas -
The Tarrant County medical examiner has identified a body
found in east Arlington as that of a missing elderly woman.
Family members reported 77-year-old Maria Arrocha missing on
Dec. 18. She suffered from Alzheimer's and wasn't wearing any shoes or warm
clothes when she disappeared, they said.
Officers who were searching for her found her body Thursday
afternoon in a wooded area near Stadium Drive. That's less than a mile away from
where she was last seen.
The medical examiner said there were no signs of foul play
in the woman's death. She died from exposure to the elements.
