ATHENS, Ga. -

The University of Georgia is getting ready to showcase the best university press designs of 2012.

The Association of American University Presses 2012 Book, Jacket and Journal Show will be on display from Jan. 17-18. Visitors can see it at University of Georgia Press on the third floor of the library.

The exhibit started at the Columbia University Press in New York in September and will end its travels at the University of South Carolina Press in Columbia, S.C., in May.

A panel selects the best books from a number of categories. The committee received 226 books, 300 jacket and cover design entries and four journals this year. It selected 49 books, one journal and 30 jackets and covers as the best examples of university press design.
