GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -
Two people were taken to the hospital for smoke inhalation early Monday morning after a fire broke out at a Grand Prairie extended-stay hotel.
Firefighters were called to the Budget Suits at 2770 North Highway 360 about 4:30 a.m.
One three-story building unit had heavy smoke.
Hotel guests, including an 86-year-old woman in a wheelchair, quickly evacuated the burning building. She and another guest were taken to a nearby hospital.
Firefighters are still searching for the cause.
