The badly-needed rain has arrived in North Texas, and is likely to stick around for days.
New data shows a forecasted 3 to 4 inches in Ellis, Navarro, Kaufman and other counties to the southeast of Dallas-Fort Worth, according to FOX 4 Meteorologist Ron Jackson.
Expect light-to-moderate rainfall through tomorrow, with pockets of very heavy rain. Some of the strongest storms could bring some hail or wind, but the forecast does not show much severe weather.
However, flooding could be a problem in low-lying areas.
Counties to the north and west of DFW should expect to see at least an inch of rain and maybe more.
Highs today remain in the low 50s, and the temperature won't drop much until a cold front comes in over the weekend. Sunday and Monday should be much colder.
