Motorists had to drive very carefully this morning as the second day of storms began with flooded roads and major pot holes.
Dozens of McKinney motorists ended up with flat tires Wednesday morning as they traveled south on Highway 75 near Eldorado Parkway.
According to Chip Waggoner, recent construction in the area has degraded the road surface and when the rain poured down all night, the road surface crumbled apart in spots.
Other notorious low-lying spots across North Texas also collected large puddles. And more rain is on the way, forecasters say.
FOX 4's Evan Andrews predicts 1 to 3 inches more will fall today -- with 100 percent coverage across North Texas.
"There will be heavy rain up until about midnight tonight, and then it will taper off tomorrow," Andrews said.
