Despite lots of sunshine across North Texas today, it was quite chilly. Afternoon highs only climbed up into the 40s, which was more than 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. Temperatures in the upcoming days are not expected to warm up all that much as cold northerly winds continue across the region. There are some indications that there could possibly be some wintry type of precipitation well off to our southeast early Monday morning. It is not expected to move into the Metropolis. However, the computer models do indicate that we might see some type of winter precipitation here late Wednesday night or early Thursday morning. It's hard to say right now, but it's something we need to keep our eyes on. By the end of the week, afternoon highs should find us back into the 60s.
