NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The FDNY put out a fire inside a penthouse apartment belonging to actress Heather Graham inn Union Square Saturday night.

Fire officials say the fire in the actress' Union Square residence was sparked when burning candles left on her bathtub lit clothes nearby. The fire started around 10:00 p.m. in the 12th-floor Broadway home and took 45 minutes to extinguish.

The 42-year-old actress Graham rushed back to the 2,000-square-foot apartment after the fire was put out. Graham has starred in movies such as "Boogie Nights," "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" and "The Hangover."

TV star Zach Braff of "Scrubs," reportedly lives just one floor down.
