Woman found murdered in Grand Prairie apartment

Posted: Updated:
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -

Police are trying to solve the murder of a woman found slain in her apartment on Sunday.

Co-workers became concerned about 32-year-old Angela Bynum when she didn't show up for her shift. A friend went to the Clairborne apartments in the 2300 block of N. State Highway 360 and found her dead.

Police found the woman's 13-month-old son with his father in Arlington, and CPS briefly took custody of the child before handing him over to his grandparents.

Police said the murder appears to be an isolated incident.

Although no suspect has been named, Bynum's estranged boyfriend -- the children's father -- is a person of interest in the case, police said.
