After all the rain last week, some people still had their automatic sprinklers running. And this morning you could tell who those people were.
A FOX 4 viewer snapped a photo of an ice-coated tree at Northeast Mall in Hurst Monday morning.
Several surface streets had icy patches in neighborhoods across North Texas thanks to running sprinklers.
A few areas, particularly Collin County, saw a few icy pellets fall several hours before dawn, but there wasn't enough to stick to the roads or make driving hazardous.
According to FOX 4 Meteorologist Evan Andrews, that may change this week. He's expecting a possibility of snow overnight Wednesday into Thursday, thanks to a low-pressure mass moving our way from the west.
On Thursday afternoon, highs will warm to the mid-50s and most likely melt any precipitation that sticks to the road.
