APD officer still in ICU after Friday night shooting

ATLANTA -
An Atlanta police officer who was shot in the face on Friday night remains in intensive care at Grady Memorial Hospital. Doctors say Officer Reggie Robinson is alert and responsive.
Officer Robinson was shot near West End Mall in southwest Atlanta. Investigators say he was questioning a man about a suspected drug deal when the suspect ran away, and then fired shots at Officer Robinson.
Police arrested 20-year-old Frank Nance. He faces a number of charges including assault on a police officer. Nance is being held without bond at the Fulton County Jail.
Atlanta police said on Wednesday that Robertson continues to recover and is in good spirits.

A judge has sentenced Michael Parson to the maximum of 35 years in jail for the attempted murder of his wife. On Thursday, Parson was convicted of shooting his wife, Adina, eight times in 2012.
