Atlanta Public Schools bus involved in hit-and-run accident

ATLANTA -
An Atlanta Public Schools bus with students on board was side-swiped by a hit-and-run driver on Wednesday afternoon, police said.
The incident occurred on Hightower Road at St. Joseph Avenue in northwest Atlanta around 4:30 p.m. Atlanta police said that a white pickup truck with a silver toolbox struck the bus and then fled the scene.
Between 27 to 30 children complained of neck and back pain and were transported to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Hughes Spalding Hospital, according to Officer John Chafee of the Atlanta Police Department.
