ARLINGTON -
An elderly brother and sister escaped a house fire in East Arlington early Thursday morning.
A police officer passing by the house in the 2400 block of John Lyn Lane spotted the flames and called the fire department.
The man who lived at the home was rushed to the hospital for smoke inhalation. His sister was not injured. She was able to wake her brother up and walk him out of the home.
Investigators still do not know the cause of the fire but say it looks as though it may have started in a bedroom.
