A man on the side of the street in his electric wheelchair was hit by a driver who kept going. And it was all caught on camera.
Ariel Dominguez was on the corner of Fitzhugh Avenue and Manet Street at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday. The 72-year-old was on his way to visit his sister just a few houses away.
He had pulled off to the side of the road to call her when a red four-door sedan hit him. The car didn't stop.
"I don't know how people can be so heartless. It does hurt me a lot that someone didn't stop to at least see if he's okay. So, I hope if they see this they come forward and take responsibility," said Cindi Reyna, his granddaughter.
Dominguez was not seriously hurt. He has a gash in his head, a swollen eye and numerous cuts and bruises.
He and his family are hoping someone recognizes the car in the video and calls police.
