Sheriff Department employee jailed on intoxication manslaughter charge

A Tarrant County Sheriff's Office employee has been jailed on intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault charges according to Fort Worth police spokesman Tracey Knight.

Knight says 29 year old Alan Michael McKinney was driving a pickup truck that hit a passenger car in the 5900 block of Sandshell Drive in Fort Worth Saturday evening. The auto was coming out of a movie theater parking lot when it was hit by the pickup according to the police spokesman.

Knight says the 23 year old woman driving the car was killed, her 21 year old male passenger was critically injured. A Careflite helicopter took the injured passenger to a local hospital.  McKinney suffered minor injuries according to the police spokesman.

The identities of the dead woman and the critically injured man have not yet been released.
