DALLAS -
An accident knocked out the power to several businesses and apartments in Dallas' design district early Tuesday morning.
Just before 6 a.m., police found an SUV on its side in the 1500 block of HiLine Drive. The vehicle had also knocked out a utility pole, plunging the area in darkness.
Firefighters say the male driver had been partially ejected from his SUV and was crushed under the vehicle. Firefighters had to use airbags to raise the wreckage before pulling the driver out and sending him to the hospital.
His name and condition were not immediately available.
