A Tarrant County jury sentenced a North Texas man to 90 years in prison last week for impersonating a public servant.
Raul Alvarez-Mijan, 62, was found guilty Wednesday of telling a woman in June 2010 he was a vice officer and she should have sex with him, rather than go to jail.
The woman escaped unharmed, and later told her fiance what happened.
When jurors considered Alvarez-Mijan's punishment on Friday, they learned he had a long record, including an arrest in a very similar attack in the same area of Fort Worth just a few months earlier.
In that February 2010 attack, the victim was sexually assaulted twice by a man who claimed to be an officer.
Alvarez-Mijan is also a convicted murderer. Melody McDonald with the Tarrant County District Attorney's office says in 1983, he was sentenced to 18 years in prison for shooting a woman to death.
Alvarez-Mijan served only 9 years of that Dallas County sentence before being paroled in 1992.
