Teens beat man for cell phone

NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

The NYPD is on the hunt for a group of teens who viciously assaulted a man on Staten Island before taking off with his phone.

The attack happened on Sunday evening on Westervelt Ave. in the St. George section of the borough.

The teens, all males between the ages of 15-18, repeatedly struck the 52-year-old victim, according to police.

Surveillance video of the assault was released on Wednesday.
