GRAPEVINE, Texas -
The medical examiner confirms that two Southlake Carroll teens found dead in a Grapevine home overdosed on drugs.
The report shows 18-year-old Chase Nunez and 17-year-old Kyle McNutt died from a toxic mix of heroin, codeine, Xanax and diphenhydramine, a type of antihistamine.
Paramedics found Nunez and McNutt dead on Jan. 4 at the home of their friend, 22-year-old Cullen Marino, after his father called 911. Police say Marino failed to call for help after he found the teens unconscious.
Marino, who also allegedly provided the drugs, faces two counts of criminally negligent homicide.
