FORT WORTH, Texas -
A mother was reunited with her child Thursday afternoon after he was briefly abducted by a carjacker.
Fort Worth police said the woman had stopped at a garage sale in the 1900 block of South Henderson Street. She got out of her vehicle and left her sleeping, 3-year-old son in the back seat.
A man who was walking nearby stole the vehicle with the child still inside. He pulled over about a block away and let him out.
Police said the boy wasn't hurt, but the suspect is still at large with the vehicle.
The mother will likely not face any criminal charges, they said.
