He's not Santa Claus, but the man who stood atop a chimney in east Los Angeles probably knows the difference between naughty and nice.
Hours later, with helicopters hovering and live television cameras rolling, he climbed down and surrendered.
According to sister station FOX 11, the man was confronted by bail bondsmen Friday morning, and ran away by scrambling up a ladder and on top of the roof wearing only socks and a pair of shorts.
The man is reported to have "jumped" his bail and violated his parole.
The suspect finally found a perch atop a chimney on a two-story home, but could not sit down because the chimney cap wasn't strong enough to support him.
FOX 11 says he scrambled up the roof about 7 a.m. (9 a.m. CST) and came down more than three and a half hours later.
