One of the North Texas brothers injured during a snowmobile crash at the Winter X Games remains in critical condition.

Caleb Moore, 25, was performing a flip Jan. 24 when he clipped the top of a jump. The snowmobile under-rotated and flipped with him down the hill. Moore suffered a concussion and was taken to the hospital, where doctors learned he was bleeding internally around his heart.

Moore had emergency heart surgery, then a "secondary complication involving his brain."

A spokeswoman for his family said Monday he is in critical condition and being closely monitored. In a statement, the family thanked all of Moore's fans, friends and family for their "strong support" and asked for "continued prayers in the coming days."

Moore's younger brother, Colten, crashed on the same jump on the same day. He was taken to the hospital with a separated pelvis.

Colten also had a dramatic crash before winning a gold medal at last year's Winter X Games.
