Tarrant Co. man added to Most Wanted list

AUSTIN, Texas -

A 45-year-old sex offender is now one of the top 10 Most Wanted men in Texas.

Santos Francisco Sanchez was convicted of sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Fort Worth back in 1996.

He served time and was released to a halfway house in Hidalgo County in 2003, but he never registered himself as a sex offender, as is required by law.

Sanchez has relatives in Tarrant County and was known to live there before his arrest. He has training as a carpenter, the Department of Public Safety says.

He is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 205 lbs. His tattoos include: dragon/skulls/devils on his left forearm, a heart on his upper left arm, a peacock on his upper right arm and heart/rose on his right forearm.

If you know Santos Sanchez or know where he is, you could be eligible for a $5,000 reward and still remain anonymous:

  • Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477).
  • Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your cell phone.
