ADAIRSVILLE, Georgia -
The same storm system that blew across North Texas on Tuesday has strengthened and left scars further east.
A tornado touched down in Adairsville, Georgia, about 60 miles northwest of Atlanta. The Associated Press says several homes demolished and as many as 10 cars flipped like toys.
One death is linked to the tornado, which touched down late Wednesday morning. Several people were reportedly trapped.
