The quarterback for Texas Christian University was scheduled for a court hearing Thursday for a drunken driving charge, but it was canceled.
Casey Pachall faces a misdemeanor DWI charge after police saw his car run through a stop sign and run over the curb during a turn back on Oct. 4.
After his arrest, he left the university and enrolled in a rehabilitation program.
Earlier in 2012, Pachall failed a mandatory drug test given to team members, but was given the option to accept counseling. Some fans complained Coach Gary Patterson gave preferential treatment to Pachall and other players.
The mandatory tests came after 17 TCU students, including several football players, were arrested in February during a massive drug crackdown.
Coach Patterson reinstated Pachall to the team in mid-January because he said he had successfully completed rehab and met all the requirements to come back.
Court officials did not have further information about the status of his case.
