Eleven horses were unable to escape the flames in their stable early Monday morning.
The fire broke out in the stables near Loop 820 around 2:30 am. When firefighters got to the scene they were able to rescue eight of the horses. Three of those horses have burn injuries.
One firefighter burned his hands while helping some horses get out of the stable. He was treated on the scene and released back to work.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
