Though the reward for the killer or killers of Kaufman County prosecutor Mark Hasse stands at more than $71,000, police have no credible leads.
His life was celebrated on Monday with the U.S. Honor Flag, which was flying over the Texas State Capitol on Sept. 11 and was sent to New York. It has traveled the world since then.
"This one single American flag has traveled nearly 6 million miles around the planet over a thousand fallen police officers, firefighters, soldiers and ones who give their lives for our community like Mark," said Chris Heisler with the U.S. Honor Flag Network.
The flag will fly with honor guard standing watch until 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Then as it comes down there will by a fly over.
A public service has been planned for Hasse Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center in Terrell.
