Kroger announced Monday that they're recalling cake Mardi Gras King Cakes made in stores in four states, including Georgia, because it may contain pecans not listed on the label.
The cakes were also sold in stores in South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee. Customers who purchased the product between December 30, 2012 and February 4, 2013, should return the product to stores for a full refund or replacement.
The product is specifically labeled:
• Bakery Mardi Gras King Cake Cinnamon, in-store made, with "sell by" dates of February 7, 2013 and before, under the following UPC Code: 4157327767.
Kroger has removed affected items from store shelves and initiated its customer recall notification system that alerts customers who may have purchased recalled Class 1 products through register receipt tape messages and phone calls.
