Two people were seriously hurt after they were hit by a car in Lewisville Monday evening.
Witnesses say the two pedestrians were crossing the road, without using a crosswalk, in the 1000 block of Fox Avenue around 6:45 p.m. As they attempted to get to the other side of the road they were hit by the car.
Lai Thawng, 24, and Sang Hrin, 36, were rushed to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Their conditions have since been upgraded to fair.
The driver stayed at he scene until police arrived so he will not face any charges.
Instead, investigators believe the pedestrians were intoxicated and failed to yield the right-of-way to the vehicle.
