Beauty Shop Bandit to face 11 counts in Cook County alone

FOX 32 News confirmed the identity of the beauty shop bandit as Jason Logsdon, 42, from Evanston. The State's Attorney brought 11 counts of armed robbery against him in Cook County.
Logsdon is likely to face more charges in DuPage County. Skokie police said detectives from multiple jurisdictions worked on the case.
The serial robber struck over a dozen hair salons in the Chicago area since Dec. 28. According to the state's attorney's office, five of the robberies took place in Chicago, two occurred in Skokie, two took place in Niles, one was committed in Morton Grove, and one was committed in Broadview.
Logsdon was apprehended in Skokie on Monday, after he robbed a Wicker Park Great Clips in the 1200 block of North Ashland Avenue. Witness statements and a partial license plate are attributed to his capture.
During the course of the investigation, victims and witnesses from 15 different armed robberies that occurred in eight different municipalities spanning two counties viewed physical lineups and were interviewed at the Skokie Police Department.
Logsdon is reported to have used a BB gun disguised as a real weapon. he is said to have wrapped the handle with duct tape.
Sources also told FOX 32 News that the suspect may have been using the stolen money to support a drug habit.
He is expected in bond court Wednesday in Skokie and possibly in Chicago on Thursday.
