$217M Powerball ticket sold in Virginia; $1M winner in Lake Villa

CHICAGO (Sun-Times Media Wire) -
Wednesday night's winning Powerball ticket, worth $217 million, was sold in Virginia, but a few Illinois players came close to the big jackpot.
The winning numbers in Wednesday night's drawing were: 05-27-36-38-41 and the Power Ball was 12.
Only one player matched all the numbers and that player got their ticket in Virginia, according to the Illinois Lottery.
In Illinois, a ticket that matched five numbers was sold at the Lake Villa Citgo at 400 E. Grand Ave. in Lake Villa, according to the Illinois Lottery. That player will receive $1 million.
Another three Illinois players matched four of five numbers and the Power Ball and they will each receive $10,000.
The next drawing will be Saturday with a grand prize of $40 million.
