Authorities tell FOX 5 News a body was found about 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the bottom of a well. It was about three miles from the home in Canon where the woman, Bonny Anne Cooper, lived with her son and boyfriend.
The special agent in charge of the Athens office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, Mike Ayers, said the boyfriend, 42-year-old Brent Shubert, was arrested Sunday on a murder charge. Ayers said Shubert had been interviewed concerning the missing woman and information provided by Shubert and others led police to the site where the body was found.
