Hit-and-run hospitalizes Lake Worth man

Posted: Updated:

Police in Lake Worth need help finding the person responsible for seriously injuring a man on a moped on the Jacksboro Highway Sunday morning.

Someone hit 44-year-old Christopher Journey's bike from behind at about 3:30 a.m. while he was headed west on the highway near NW Center Drive.

Investigators believe he was then dragged a block by the unknown vehicle, which did not stop.

Journey was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police have not released a description of the suspect's vehicle because so far they have no witnesses or evidence. But, they did say the vehicle likely has front-end damage.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Lake Worth Police Department at 817-237-1224.
