DALLAS -
The only hospital in Terrell in Kaufman County was closed by
state and federal regulators.
The 102-bed Renaissance Hospital was forced to close after
allegations of reckless care that reportedly caused the deaths of two patients.
Federal funding was cut off and the state revoked the
hospital's license.
Also, the hospital reportedly owes $425,000 in unpaid taxes.
The move leaves only one remaining hospital open in Kaufman
County.
