Fort Worth police arrested a woman they said caused three crashes including one with a police squad car along Interstate 35W Wednesday morning.
Officers had to use every resource available to get Jessica Roseman to stop.
The wrong-way driver was traveling south bound in the north bound lanes on I-35W at the Mixmaster just before 3 a.m..
She made it all the way from the Mixmaster to Hidden Creek Parkway in Burleson, some 15 miles away before officers finally got her to stop.
Police said the woman's first incident in traffic happened at I-35W and Rosedale Street when a driver swerved to avoid hitting her and wound up striking the retaining wall. One of the accident victims in the car was rushed to the hospital after complaining of chest pains.
The second encounter happened at I-35W and East Berry Street, where officers said the wrong-way driver side swiped an SUV. Luckily, no one was injured at the scene.
At the third encounter, police said the driver slammed into an unmanned Burleson squad car that was being used as a road block.
Police said they tried everything to get the driver to stop, from calling out to her on their PA system to having their helicopter overhead with a bright spotlight down on the area. Nothing worked until they used their stop stick to take out one of her front tires, causing the car to finally came to a stop.
Roseman was arrested for suspicion of DWI and accident involving damage and injury.
