Police are hoping a picture of a tattoo could be the key to finding the fugitive on the run since Monday night's attack on an officer in front of a Grapevine Wal-Mart.
"We know he's made comments in the past that he does not want to stay in prison and doesn't have any intension to go back to prison. That makes him even more of a potential danger for any person that comes in contact with him," said Sgt. Robert Eberling with the Grapevine Police Department.
He is described as being of Cuban descent, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 175 pounds with brown hair and eyes. He has a tattoo of a Native American on a horse on his left shoulder and upper arm.
Morales was first said to be in shackles, but surveillance video from moments after his escape appears to show his hands free. One of his shoes was found Wednesday night near the Grapevine High School stadium.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call police or 911.
Officials from the Miami-Dade Police Department said the injured officer continues to improve in the hospital.
