A woman is safe after saying she was robbed, kidnapped and raped in Arlington Thursday evening.
The woman told police she was leaving her job at the Wal-Mart on Randol Mill Road around 5 p.m. when she was forced into her own car. About an hour later she was able to call police, telling them she was in trouble but didn't know where she was.
Around 2 a.m. Friday police found her car was parked in front of a townhouse in the 1100 block of Center Street. The woman was still inside it with two other women. Police were able to pull her out safely.
Officers then surrounded the home and arrested Jeff Fredrick Womack for aggravated sexual assault. The other women were questioned and released.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
