Emanuel sends Valentine's poem to gay community

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel sent a valentine to the city's gay community.

It read: "Roses are red, violets are blue, marry a woman, or marry a dude."

The state senate passed a gay marriage bill Thursday on Valentine's Day.

The bill now moves to the state house where it faces an uncertain future.
