Opening statements in the murder of Atlanta rapper Slim Dunkin are set to begin on Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Vinson Hardimon aka "Young Vito," shot and killed fellow rapper Mario "Slim Dunkin" Hamilton in 2011.

The 30-year-old is charged with felony murder and aggravated assault.

Authorities say a fight turned deadly when Hardimon shot Hamilton in the stomach at a music studio on memorial drive in December 2011.

Hardimon turned himself into authorities two weeks later.
